Jun 11, 2026 at 8:12 AMGEODIS has announced the appointment of Eric Gerbi as Executive Vice President of the global freight forwarding business unit. In this role, Gerbi will also become a member of the company’s board, which is led by Marie-Christine Lombard, the CEO of GEODIS.
Gerbi began his career in the banking sector at BNP Paribas before moving to Deloitte as a financial auditor in 2006. In 2008, he joined Saint-Gobain as a management controller.
In 2011, Gerbi came to GEODIS, where he initially served as financial controller for the Americas region. In 2014, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) business unit. From 2018, he additionally took on the role of Deputy EVP of SCO, where he was responsible for human resources, IT, customer solutions, and key account management. In October 2021, he was appointed EVP of the SCO division at GEODIS. Since 2024, he has served as CFO of the global freight forwarding business unit.
Gerbi holds an engineering degree from École des Mines de Nancy and a specialized master’s degree in international finance from HEC Business School.
The appointment of Eric Gerbi comes at a time when GEODIS aims to further strengthen its position in the global logistics market. The company operates in nearly 170 countries and employs around 48,000 people. In 2025, GEODIS achieved a revenue of €10.6 billion.
