Jun 3, 2026 at 9:31 AMAAL Shipping has completed a delivery of heavy power generation equipment to Houston: This delivery, with a total weight of 12,000 tons, is intended to solidify the company’s position as a provider of power and energy infrastructure projects in the US market, as stated. The cargo, transported from Asia to the USA, included 195 individual units destined for a natural gas development. The project highlights AAL’s ability to handle complex and oversized project cargo for time-sensitive developments in the energy infrastructure sector, according to a statement.

The delivery was made aboard the heavy lift vessel „AAL Kobe,“ which has a capacity of 31,000 DWT. With the help of its maximum 700-ton cranes, AAL was able to conduct fully self-sustaining loading and unloading operations. This approach, according to the company, resulted in faster processing in the port, reduced congestion, and allowed for better control over delivery times.
The delivery, according to AAL, occurs in a context where the US energy sector continues to invest. According to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), natural gas remains the largest source of electricity generation in the United States, accounting for about 43% of total electricity production. Utilities continue to invest in gas-fired capacities to support the reliability of the power grid.
