Apr 17, 2026 at 10:06 AMCMA CGM and the Lebanese Fattal Group have reached an agreement for the acquisition of the Fattal Group by the CMA CGM Group and its subsidiaries. The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected in the third quarter of 2026.
Strategic expansion in the logistics sector
According to Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, this acquisition represents an important step in the company’s strategy to position itself as a global leader in integrated logistics and supply chain solutions. By integrating Fattal’s strong distribution platform, the company’s reach in the rapidly growing markets of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is set to expand. Saadé emphasizes that the combination of the strengths of both companies will help drive growth and provide greater value to customers and partners. He also expressed confidence in the long-term development of Lebanon and support for its economic stability.
Caroline Fattal (photo), Chairwoman of the Fattal Group, stated that the shareholders have decided, after 130 years of successful corporate management, to entrust the future of the Fattal Group to the CMA CGM Group. They are convinced that CMA CGM will continue the group’s successes and ensure its mission to create value and maintain the long-term strength and success of the group, its employees, suppliers, and the communities it serves.
