Apr 10, 2026 at 12:09 PMAs part of a project to improve the water supply in the province of Cusco, Peru, deugro Lima has completed a delivery of water pipes and accessories. The delivered pipes have a total length of over 7.4 kilometers and are intended to ensure the drinking water supply for the city of Cusco for the next 30 years, as stated by the company.
The cargo, comprising more than 7,325 cubic meters, was transported by two ships from the port of Lianyungang in China to the port of Callao in Peru. The delivered materials include numerous six-meter-long pipes with diameters of 80 and 90 centimeters, each weighing over 1.6 and 2.0 tons, respectively. Additionally, the delivery included more than 200 pallets and over 50 wooden crates.
Logistics and Customs Clearance
At the port of Callao, the cargo was unloaded from the ship onto trailers using cranes. The transport to the warehouse, covering an area of 3,500 square meters near the port, was organized by the local team of deugro Peru. There, an inspection of the cargo took place, and the units were prepared for further transport to the construction site, including loading and securing on trailers. Subsequently, the company transported the cargo over approximately 1,230 kilometers to the Cusco–Oropesa region with 172 trips.
