Dnata completes integration in Italy
Apr 1, 2026 at 1:02 PMASL Airlines France has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian causes this year by transporting 1.2 tons of donations for the organization „Les Enfants du Désert de Mauritanie.“ This took place during two flights to Atar (ATR), the capital of the Adrar region in Mauritania.
On March 7, during the last winter flight from Paris-CDG to Atar, approximately 719 kg of donations were loaded in 66 packages. These donations came from an internal collection organized by the airline’s employees. Previously, on January 24, ASL Airlines France had already transported around 457 kg of donations collected by the organization.
Humanitarian Commitment and Economic Significance
ASL Airlines France has been flying to Atar every winter since 2010 to conduct a series of flights on behalf of a tour operator. This flight connection has significant economic importance for the region, which is marked by poverty. The tourism activities promoted by these flights create local jobs for guides, drivers, cooks, and camel owners. Nevertheless, the needs of the population in this one of the poorest countries in the world remain substantial.
„Our humanitarian commitment to Mauritania is an integral part of the company’s social responsibility. We owe a lot to this country that we fly to every year and have decided to support an organization that operates locally,“ explains Éric Vincent, the Managing Director of ASL Airlines France. He adds that the flights to Atar create a connection between France and Mauritania and reflect the company’s philosophy of „aircraft in the service of people.“
Employee Engagement
The employees of ASL Airlines France are invited each year to participate in a large internal collection for the „Enfants du Désert de Mauritanie.“ After the donations are compiled, the operational teams organize the logistics for transporting the packages. The collected donations, which include clothing, school supplies, toys, books, and bicycles, meet the needs expressed by the organization for the children.
