Air freight rates rise despite capacity decline
Mar 30, 2026 at 7:22 AMThe Russian transport group FESCO has successfully organized the first delivery of automobiles from Vietnam to Kazakhstan. This intermodal transport solution takes place via the port of Vladivostok and represents an important step in logistics between the two countries.
The containers with the vehicles produced in Vietnam were transported from the port of Hai Phong to Vladivostok using the maritime service FESCO Vietnam Direct Line. Upon arrival in the Far East, the vehicles were loaded onto flatcars and transported by rail to Almaty. The train, carrying a total of 122 TEU, reached its destination on March 24. The total transport duration was 27 days.
As part of this project, FESCO provided a comprehensive range of services for the customer. This included picking up the vehicles from the production site in Vietnam, securing and loading them into containers, as well as organizing customs clearance throughout the entire transport route.
Planned Expansions of the Transport Offer
FESCO plans to introduce regular transport of vehicles from Vietnam to Kazakhstan. Direct land routes through China are also being considered. „The coordinated work of all FESCO departments from Vietnam to Central Asia has enabled precise and timely delivery of Vietnamese cars to Kazakhstan. In the future, we intend to carry out such transports regularly and are also exploring the possibility of deliveries to Uzbekistan and Russia. FESCO has all the necessary resources and competencies for this,“ said German Maslow, Deputy Director of the Line Logistics Division at FESCO.
