Currently, according to a statement, Geodis supplies 100 large city centers in France with vehicles powered by alternative energy. This development is part of a plan that is set to expand to 200 cities by June 2027.
The measures taken by GEODIS are, according to the company, a response to the increasing demands on urban logistics, shaped by European decarbonization goals and changing societal expectations. The growing urbanization, the rise of e-commerce, and the associated customer demands require solutions. GEODIS has recognized that compliance with regulations alone is not sufficient to meet the challenges of modern logistics. Therefore, the company began transforming its delivery solutions five years ago.
