Mar 19, 2026 at 8:53 AMIntersnack France has renewed its collaboration with FM Logistic for the next five years (with an optional extension of up to ten years) and has entrusted the company with the responsibility for managing raw materials. This decision aims to support Intersnack’s growth in France and enhance the efficiency of logistics processes. FM Logistic will operate from the platform in Longueil-Sainte-Marie, where the logistics for the company’s finished products are already handled. The new contract also includes the management of raw materials and semi-finished products to secure supply flows and optimize transport processes.
Enhanced Logistics for an Agile Supply Chain
FM Logistic will manage the logistics of finished products for Intersnack, which are delivered to the grocery retail sector in France. The site in Longueil-Sainte-Marie plays a central role, covering about 35 to 40% of Intersnack’s activities and being located near the production site in Vic-sur-Aisne. This geographical proximity enables responsive logistics, which is crucial for the swift handling and continuous service of fast-moving consumer goods.
The logistics model combines dedicated and shared transport flows, with shared transport accounting for about 30% of Intersnack’s total flows. This helps to better manage seasonal fluctuations and promotions while optimizing resource utilization. FM Logistic will also take over part of the transport flows to grocery retail, adapting the organization to operational needs.
Optimization of Efficiency and Transparency
FM Logistic will take over the acceptance of raw materials and packaging and establish a new return flow from the factory, starting with approximately 5,000 pallets. This new structure aims to improve overall efficiency by promoting better rotation between locations and reducing the number of empty trips.
To enhance control and reliability of operations, the system will focus on increased visibility of inventories and improved traceability. This will be achieved through a customer portal (MySCM under Reflex WMS) and visualization tools (Looker). Additionally, a structured governance framework with regular control points will be established. FM Logistic also aims for an IFS logistics certification by mid-2026, subject to an audit and validation.
Strategic Partnership for the Future
FM Logistic leverages its expertise in resource sharing to combine economic performance and service quality. This strategy allows for the sharing of specific resources and capacities with other compatible flows while maintaining the requirements for quality and traceability in the food sector. This strengthens the resilience of the system by improving the ability to handle volume changes and ensuring service continuity.
In the transport sector, multimodal solutions have already been implemented on certain routes since 2025, particularly towards the southeast, with further expansions being considered as operational conditions permit. The integration of logistics for raw materials also contributes to optimizing rotation schemes, aiming to reduce non-productive kilometers. FM Logistic adapts the organization to changing requirements, with a dedicated team that can increase from about 40 to up to 50 employees.
