Jun 24, 2026 at 1:34 PMPOINT.P, a building materials brand of the Saint-Gobain Group, and HAROPA PORT, the largest port in France (Le Havre, Rouen, Paris), have signed an agreement to create a multimodal logistics platform at the Paris port of Gennevilliers. This new facility, covering an area of 42,000 m², aims to decarbonize logistics in the construction sector and improve supply chain efficiency.
Multimodal platform to support logistics
The platform will be built in the heart of the inland port and is directly connected to the waterway. It complements POINT.P’s existing logistics structure in Île-de-France, particularly to the site in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, and expands logistical coverage in the northern region.
With this new facility, the partners aim to optimize logistics for construction sites in the Greater Paris area by striving for faster delivery and a reduction in emissions. Planned services include order preparation, redistribution to agencies, and delivery to construction sites.
The platform is expected to increase POINT.P’s annual river deliveries in Île-de-France from approximately 80,000 tons to nearly 240,000 tons by 2029, with more than 150,000 tons being handled through Gennevilliers. This would help remove around 11,000 trucks from the roads of the French capital region. Additionally, the platform is expected to employ 90 staff and create 80 new permanent jobs.
Strategic initiative for decarbonization
The new logistics platform is part of the joint strategy of POINT.P and HAROPA PORT to sustainably support transformations in construction and living environments. POINT.P aims to adapt logistics to the new demands of the construction industry by shortening delivery times and increasing product availability while simultaneously reducing environmental impact.
Nicolas Godet, Managing Director of POINT.P, emphasizes: “With Gennevilliers, we are accelerating the decarbonization of our entire supply chain, both upstream with manufacturers and downstream to our customers‘ construction sites.” This initiative aims to create a more efficient and environmentally friendly logistics system that meets the region’s needs.
Benoît Rochet, Managing Director of HAROPA PORT, highlights that the new platform illustrates the quality of the partnership between the two organizations and enables efficient, low-carbon logistics for the construction industry in Île-de-France. HAROPA PORT offers a network of large trimodal platforms and urban ports that provide companies with optimal logistical connections.
The opening of the platform in Gennevilliers thus represents a significant step in the development of a more environmentally friendly logistics system in construction and supports the economic dynamism of the region.
