This terminal is regarded as one of the most advanced port projects worldwide, particularly in the areas of automation, digitalization, and sustainability, as reported by the port authority.
During their visit, the Italian delegation learned about the modern operational processes of the terminal. The focus was on the automated container handling systems, electric vehicles, integrated digital management, and centralized deployment planning. These technologies are expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of container handling.
The terminal in Tuas concretely demonstrates what the global logistics market needs today and in the future, clearly paving the way for port development in the coming decades,” said Matteo Paroli, President of the Port Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea. “The integration of infrastructure, automation, and digital systems is essential to enhance operational efficiency and improve the sustainability of port activities.”
