Award for Inspirational Leadership
The Inspirational Leadership Award is presented to individuals who stand out through inspiring leadership, commitment, and innovation in the field of air cargo and logistics. The positive impact on society as well as digital transformation is also recognized. Another aspect is the influence on the development of young talent. TIACA emphasizes that this award reflects the organization’s commitment to recognizing leaders who strengthen the industry today while shaping its future.
Nominations can come from all areas of the global air cargo ecosystem, including airlines, airports, freight forwarders, ground handling services, technology providers, regulatory authorities, and related organizations.
Roos Bakker, Chair of TIACA, commented on the significance of the award: “Strong, principled leadership is crucial for the ongoing success and resilience of the air cargo industry. The Inspirational Leadership Award honors individuals whose influence goes beyond business results by inspiring people, fostering collaboration, and advancing our industry.”
Transparent Evaluation Process
The evaluation of nominations is conducted through an independent and transparent selection process. A dedicated panel, consisting of NextGen leaders in the industry, reviews the submissions to ensure credibility, balance, and global representation. Glyn Hughes, Director General of TIACA, emphasized the importance of the selection process: “The credibility of this award is based on the rigor and independence of the evaluation process. By assembling a highly respected international jury, we ensure that the Inspirational Leadership Award reflects the values, diversity, and global nature of the air cargo industry.”
