Jun 7, 2025 at 12:35 PMIn a changing world, transport logistic 2025 demonstrated what logistics must – and can – achieve today. The international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management, featuring integrated air cargo Europe, took place from June 2 to 5, 2025, at the exhibition grounds in Munich. With impressive figures, it proved its relevance: 2,722 exhibitors from 73 nations, more than 77,000 visitors from over 130 countries and regions, and an expanded exhibition area of 150,000 square meters make it by far the largest trade fair in its industry worldwide.
(Munich) The share of international exhibitors rose to 65 percent (2023: 60 percent). Thus, the fair grew not only in area and number of participants but also in its global reach. A sign of the political and economic significance of the industry: The new Federal Minister of Transport, Patrick Schnieder, opened the fair. Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München, sums it up: “transport logistic 2025 has impressively shown the central role logistics plays in our interconnected world. It is the lifeblood of the global economy. Without smooth supply chains, our daily lives would come to a standstill. I was particularly pleased that the new Federal Minister of Transport, Patrick Schnieder, opened the fair. The significant increase in participants has led to a very lively and positive atmosphere. This underscores the importance of transport logistic as a leading global trade fair.”
Logistics in Transition: Between AI, Cybersecurity, and Sustainable Concepts
Whether autonomous transport, smart platform solutions, or AI-supported control systems – transport logistic 2025 set technological priorities. The panels, expert presentations, and workshops of the conference program reflected the current challenges and innovation potentials. Particularly, the topics of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digitalization dominated the agenda. Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer of Etihad Cargo, emphasizes: “transport logistic 2025 focused clearly on the industry’s shift towards more digitalization, sustainability, and innovation. Key topics included artificial intelligence, data-driven logistics, and the expansion of alternative drive systems. This year’s fair has once again set new standards.” Tobias Jerschke, Chairman of the Management Board at Kühne+Nagel, adds: “The logistics world is at home in Munich: transport logistic 2025 presents itself more than ever as a significant platform that strengthens innovations, identifies market drivers, enables customer dialogues, and radiates important impulses into the industry with a strong network character. For me, it is a successful push for the industry, especially in the top topics of technology, AI, and integrated logistics concepts.”
air cargo Europe Grows: Air Freight in Focus
The integrated air cargo Europe experienced a significant increase in importance in 2025. Due to high interest, this area occupied two full halls for the first time. A clear indication that air freight is and remains systemically relevant – for medical goods, eCommerce, or time-critical deliveries. Markus Heinelt, Director of Cargo Development at Munich Airport, emphasizes: “The transport logistic in conjunction with air cargo Europe rightly carries the title of the world’s leading trade fair for logistics. Nowhere else can you find all supply chain participants in this form and quality.” Arthur Reijnhart, Executive Director of Schiphol Commercial, adds: “Air freight plays a crucial role in connecting the Netherlands with the world – socially and economically. The transport logistic offers a valuable opportunity to collaborate with partners from across the industry, exchange ideas, and tackle common challenges.”
Visitor Quality Convincing: Platform for Business and Exchange
The visitors of transport logistic 2025 came from more countries than ever before – and decision-makers from specialist and management levels were represented even more strongly than in the past. A lot of dynamism, high relevance, and concrete business approaches characterized the four days of the fair. The international character of the fair was particularly appreciated by companies operating across various transport modes. Tobias König, CCO of the Rhenus Group, emphasizes: “For us as the Rhenus Group, transport logistic is an indispensable platform for direct exchange with customers and partners. The discussions were of very high quality and have once again shown why this fair rightly carries its leading trade fair character.” Dr. Frank Albers, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at KRONE Trailer, says: “transport logistic is more than just a fair for us – it is a central industry meeting point with international impact. Here, all transport modes come together to discuss future topics, address challenges, and develop solutions together.” Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni, a developer of industrial and logistics properties, adds: “transport logistic is a must-attend event for us. It brings together the most important minds in the industry in one place. This year, the quality of the discussions was particularly remarkable – many of our encounters took place at the decision-maker level and were correspondingly profound and directional.”
Leading Trade Fair with Impulse Effect
Whether business exchange, technological direction-setting, or personal reunions – transport logistic 2025 was once again a place where the industry met to shape the future together. Robert Howe, Managing Director of bremenports, describes the fair atmosphere: “To call transport logistic a family reunion would probably be the wrong term with around 75,000 visitors. It still feels a bit like that – you simply meet a lot of people who are passionate about their industries, namely transport and logistics. And ultimately, that is exactly what makes this fair the leading fair in both areas.” Alessandro Cacciola, CEO of the Andreas Schmid Group, sums it up: “transport logistic was not just an industry meeting but a strong impulse generator.” Photo: © Messe München
