That Was the Year 2023 in the Logistics Industry
Dec 11, 2023 at 7:11 PMThe Cargo Trans Logistik (CTL) AG expands its international connections and is now cooperating with the Spanish logistics specialist SEITRANS SA – a subsidiary of the Italsempione Group. Through this collaboration, the medium-sized groupage cooperation expands traffic to and from Spain for its 180 partner companies. At its international strategy meeting on November 23, CTL presented the cooperation with SEITRANS SA as well as its expansion plans for the coming years to its network partners.
(Homburg/Efze) The goods are fed into the system via the CTL West Hub in Düsseldorf. Regular departures guarantee delivery within 48 hours in the respective countries. Previously, the transit time was up to 72 hours.
“With the new connection, we significantly improve traffic to and from Spain for our partners,” says CTL CEO Francesco De Lauso, adding: “As CTL, we have now reached a size that allows us to step beyond German borders and offer traffic for our partners in strategically important regions.”
As part of the collaboration with SEITRANS SA, CTL is creating an even broader basis for successful international traffic between the Iberian Peninsula and Germany. With regular departures, goods will be delivered within a maximum of two days throughout the entire country or in all of Spain – at least one third faster than before. The transports take place between the CTL hub in Düsseldorf and the SEITRANS hub in Barcelona. From there, the groupage is distributed. Abraham Garcia Martinez, CFO at CTL and significantly responsible for internationalization, says: “An important milestone has been set and follows our internationalization strategy for the coming years. The focused approach and expansion into foreign markets will make our network partners even more competitive. We will support them with sales measures to become even more successful internationally.”
Two Locations in Barcelona and Madrid
SEITRANS SA is part of the Italian Italsempione Group and has two strategically well-located sites in Barcelona and Madrid. The company specializes in land transport, sea and air freight, as well as value-added services and has a nationwide hub network in Spain. Jose Javier Hernàndez, Network Manager Europe at SEITRANS, comments on the cooperation: “Together with CTL AG, we create significant added value for our customers and strengthen the connection to Central and Eastern Europe. Through the comprehensive groupage network, we can significantly expand our services in the groupage and full load sector for our customers with attractive transit times.”
