May 15, 2023 at 7:23 AMThe European Cargo Alliance of International Forwarders AG (ELVIS) will become a co-partner of the transport and logistics network ABC Business Network based in Verona. At the same time, the Italian company will become a cooperation partner of the Alzenau logistics alliance. The aim of this close strategic partnership is to deepen the collaboration that has existed since 2019 and to expand the capabilities of both networks.
(Alzenau/Verona/Munich) The new alliance was officially sealed on May 9 during the International Trade Fair for Logistics, Mobility, IT, and Supply Chain Management transport logistic in Munich.
“In the course of our collaboration, which has now lasted four years, it has become increasingly clear that ABC fits perfectly with us and we fit perfectly with ABC – not only in terms of the people involved but especially regarding the orientation and philosophy of our companies,” says Jochen Eschborn, Chairman of the Board of ELVIS AG. “Based on this realization, the close cooperation we have now entered into is just the logical consequence.”
Focus on Medium-Sized Transport Service Providers
Specifically, both companies focus on medium-sized transport service providers. In both cases, the range of services is consistently aimed at generating economies of scale and leveraging synergies through collaboration. A prime example in this context is the pan-European transport network PANECO, founded in spring 2021 with the involvement of ELVIS and ABC. Furthermore, both companies see themselves as representatives of the transport and logistics companies affiliated with them.

At the transport logistic, ELVIS also presents its new Varioliner, which offers up to 62 pallet spaces on two levels.
Matteo Ravazzin, CEO of ABC Business Network: “Germany is Italy’s number one trading partner and thus the main target region for many of our partners. Being able to offer them a broad and uncomplicated access to this largest and most important logistics market in Europe through ELVIS is undoubtedly a tremendous gain.” ABC also aims to benefit from the extensive experience and know-how of the Alzenau alliance in terms of developing system-led partial load transports, establishing and organizing a central purchasing system, as well as supporting and developing advantages for the affiliated members. In this regard, there is hardly any company in Europe that has more to offer. “We are all the more pleased to have gained ELVIS as a new partner,” says Ravazzin.
Further Step Towards Internationalization
For ELVIS, the partnership with the Italian alliance represents another step towards internationalization. Eschborn: “Europe is one of the largest economic zones in the world. However, its fragmented structure and the numerous language barriers make it particularly difficult for many small and medium-sized logistics companies to establish cross-border business models. In this context, having a local cooperation partner is an invaluable advantage.”
