Trailer Manufacturer Kögel Strengthens Its Sales in Austria

Kögel is showing its colors in Austria and is now marketing its transport solutions independently and without going through a dealer. To this end, Kögel has hired a sales team for Austria and established a branch in Schärding. With this measure, Kögel aims to double its market share.

(Burtenbach/Schärding) The new branch is located in Schärding (Upper Austria). Thomas Dorfer, head of the Austria branch, and Roland Mayer, sales manager for Austria and Switzerland, are responsible for sales in the Alpine Republic. They are supported by an eleven-member team of experienced market experts with 20 years of experience in trailer sales. “We have adapted Kögel’s sales structure to meet the demanding needs of the Austrian market and local customers,” explains Kögel CEO Christian Renners.

With the decision against dealer sales and for direct sales through Kögel’s own sales team, Kögel is taking new paths in Austria and emphasizes its commitment to putting the customer at the center – in line with the company’s motto ‘Economy meets Ecology – Because we care.’ “We are thus elevating our consulting services to a whole new level and are now also a one-stop shopping contact in Austria,” explains Renners.

Comprehensive Consulting with Direct Sales

“Only with direct sales can we meet the demanding customer requirements. This includes immediate and comprehensive consulting on the entire transport solution. This encompasses not only the trailer but also information on value-added services such as trailer telematics, full-service contracts, rental offers, financing solutions, and even the marketing of used vehicles,” explains Thomas Dorfer. With this wide-ranging offering, Kögel is also able to meet even the most demanding customer wishes in Austria.

With this new setup, Kögel aims to double its previous market share in Austria and thus achieve pole position in the semi-trailer segment.
