Nov 13, 2021 at 6:24 PMThe logistics real estate developer Logivest launches the charity action “Logistics in Motion” in favor of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation for young mourners. The involved logistics companies from thirteen firms collectively covered over 87,000 kilometers, raising a total donation sum of 77,533 euros for a good cause.
(Munich) Faster, higher, further – this could be seen as the motto for the new edition of the charity action Logistics in Motion initiated by Logivest in 2021. Thirteen companies from the logistics sector engaged their employees once again this year for a good cause. Together, they covered over 87,000 kilometers and raised a total of 77,533 euros for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. This action has even increased its success from last year by over 80 percent.
Whether on foot, by bicycle, horseback riding, swimming, or golfing – every kilometer covered between July and October 2021 counted and was recognized by the individual companies accordingly. Furthermore, the athletic achievements were publicly shared on social media under the hashtag #LogisticsInMotion2021.
Incredible Response
“The response, both internally and from other companies, is incredible. The good cause and the common goal motivate and create a community that has become rare in today’s time,” describes Kuno Neumeier, CEO of the Logivest Group and co-initiator of the action with his wife Karin, the dynamics that Logistics in Motion has developed.
In 2020, the couple launched Logistics in Motion to collect donations for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation even during the Corona period. For years, Logivest has supported the foundation, and Karin Neumeier is actively involved as a board member. She repeatedly experiences how important the work of the foundation is. It supports young mourners up to 49 years old nationwide who have lost their partner, as well as children, teenagers, and young adults who have lost one or both parents. “The work of the foundation is immensely important, and the challenges the team faces every day have increased even more in the last year. I am all the more pleased that our initiative is met with such great enthusiasm nationwide. Together, we can make an important contribution,” says Karin Neumeier.
Overwhelmed by the Action
On behalf of all participating companies, she and her husband presented a check for the total amount to Martina Münch-Nicolaidis, chairwoman of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.
She is overwhelmed by the action. “Last year, we experienced how the logistics community engaged for us and our work. That this can not only be repeated but also increased again was something we never expected. We sincerely thank all those involved for their incredible commitment. Logistics in Motion moves – in the truest sense of the word,” says Martina Münch-Nicolaidis.
A total of thirteen companies joined the action in 2021 and either moved for a good cause or simply donated: Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg, Four Parx GmbH, Garbe Industrial Real Estate, GLS Germany, Headgate GmbH, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Logivest GmbH, Neovia Logistics, Panattoni Germany Properties GmbH, P3 Logistics Parks, Stephan Meyer Consulting, teamtosse GmbH, and wilogs – Wirz Logistics Support.
