Feb 1, 2021 at 5:41 PMGreiwing logistics for you GmbH has now integrated the Werner Bruhns Lagereigesellschaft mbH, which was acquired on January 1, 2021. This creates an expansion of the service spectrum for the food industry and more flexibility for clients through a new location. Thus, Greiwing now has 17 locations in Germany and Belgium.
(Greven/Hamburg) Since January 1, the Werner Bruhns Lagereigesellschaft mbH has been part of the corporate group of Greiwing logistics for you GmbH. This strengthens the logistics service provider, headquartered in Greven, North Rhine-Westphalia, in northern Germany and expands its service portfolio for the food industry to include services in the spices and dried fruits segment. Corresponding logistics, storage, and handling capacities are available at the Hamburg port.
New Specialized Services
“With the integration of the Werner Bruhns location in Hamburg into our branch network, we are offering new specialized services. This allows us to provide our customers in food logistics with an even larger portfolio. Both our existing customers and the clients of Bruhns can take advantage of our diverse services,” says Jürgen Greiwing, Managing Partner of Greiwing logistics for you GmbH. With the acquisition of the specialized logistics provider, Greiwing now also offers the services that Bruhns customers have relied on for 70 years: cleaning, washing, drying, and mechanical brushing of sensitive goods, heat treatments, pitting, de-metalization, as well as import, transit, and export processing for all shipments by land, sea, and air. For a variety of customers, Bruhns also acts as a fiscal representative and issues certificates of origin, plant protection, and veterinary certificates.
Cold Storage with 16,000 Pallet Spaces
At the Werner Bruhns location in the Hamburg port, there are 16,000 pallet spaces available in climate-stable storage rooms and in a cold storage facility, as well as a steam sterilization system. All 35 experienced Bruhns employees working there will continue to be employed and enrich the Greiwing corporate group with their extensive know-how in the storage and handling of spices, medicinal herbs, and dried fruits. By integrating the Hanseatic specialized logistics provider, the Greiwing corporate group strengthens its presence in the region and is now also represented in northern Germany with a variety of services. In total, Greiwing now operates 17 logistics locations throughout Germany and one in Belgium.
