Jul 9, 2026 at 2:48 PMMike Camara has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gulf of America Logistics (GoAL). This decision takes effect immediately, while Camara continues to serve as the company’s President. He assumed the position of President in February 2026 and has since led the operational business in the areas of energy, power, industry, and data centers.
Camara commented on his new role, emphasizing:
“We have built something truly special – the talent, the culture, and our operational base are all in place. I am proud to lead GoAL into this next chapter and grateful for the commitment of each individual on this team.”
Camara’s appointment comes at a time when the industrial sector in Louisiana is breaking records. According to Louisiana Economic Development, the state has recorded over $100 billion in announced investments since January 2024, driven by a wave of projects in LNG, petrochemicals, steel, and data centers. This includes the $17.5 billion LNG facility by Woodside Energy in Calcasieu Parish.
Growth and expansion
Gulf of America Logistics has offices in Bossier City, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Rayville, as well as port facilities in Cameron Parish. The company is well-positioned to support growth in Louisiana and plans to expand its offerings beyond the state and the Gulf Coast.
Camara’s appointment follows a phase of expansion for GoAL, which includes the appointment of Jake Minner as Vice President of Operations – Specialized Transport and Trucking in May 2026. Additionally, a new office has been opened in Baton Rouge to lead the company’s heavy haul division.
