Jul 8, 2026 at 12:49 PMPanattoni Denmark has initiated the construction of a new headquarters and logistics facility for Biofarma Logistik A/S in Ringsted, Central Zealand. This project represents a significant investment in the future operations of Biofarma and aims to provide the company with a modern, tailored platform for its specialized logistics activities in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in the Nordic region.
The new facility will serve as Biofarma’s future Danish headquarters and logistics center. Approximately 60 employees will relocate from the current sites in Glostrup to the new facility in Ringsted. The construction encompasses an area of over 10,000 m² in a single building on a 2.08-hectare plot. The facility has been specifically designed to meet the operational requirements of a specialized pharmaceutical logistics company and will include temperature-controlled storage areas, cold rooms, a dedicated area for the storage of hazardous materials, a stacking height of 11 m, ten loading docks, ground-level access, and 60 parking spaces.
Biofarma is a Danish logistics company with over 60 years of experience, specializing in pharmaceutical logistics, supply chain, and transportation solutions for businesses in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in the Nordic region. The company offers tailored logistics solutions for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland, placing great emphasis on quality, reliability, and patient safety.
Søren Theil, CEO of Biofarma Logistik A/S, commented on the project:
“For Biofarma, this project is an important investment in the future of our company. Our customers operate in a highly regulated and quality-oriented sector, and the new facility in Ringsted will provide us with the right framework to further develop our services and strengthen our operations.”
Strategic location and infrastructure
The development strengthens Ringsted’s position as one of the most attractive locations in Zealand for logistics, light industry, and owner-occupied projects. The site offers excellent connectivity to the E20 motorway, one of Denmark’s main traffic arteries, linking the region to Copenhagen, the rest of Denmark, Sweden, and the wider Nordic region. Additionally, logistics sites benefit from a strong regional infrastructure. Within an hour’s drive, more than 2 million people can be reached, while key logistics destinations such as Køge, Roskilde Airport, Copenhagen, Kalundborg, and Malmö are in close proximity. Ringsted is also highlighted by municipalities and businesses as an attractive location for future combined transport infrastructures, including a potential international multimodal terminal.
