Jun 5, 2026 at 12:41 PMThe supplement of the last ITJ 07/2026 announces it: Breakbulk Europe is coming up! This year, it will take place from June 16 to 18 in Rotterdam. On the morning of June 17, the second day of the fair, the 72nd BUSINESSrun will kick off. The traditional networking event surrounding Breakbulk Europe combines athletic activity with a good cause. Participants can choose between a 5 or 10 km route that runs along the spectacular Rotterdam harbor backdrop.
The run is organized by Flenzies with support from partners such as the Port of Rotterdam, United Heavy Lift, MARPRO, and ITJ.
To kick off the event, industry veterans Peter Wurschy (far left) and Raúl Carrasco will open a so-called „Veterans Walk,“ which will not exceed 4 km. A strong field of participants from the international transport and logistics industry is expected once again. No wonder: the BUSINESSrun is under the motto „Running for a Cause, Connecting for Success“ and has established itself in recent years as a fixed meeting point for informal exchange before the fair begins.
The participation fee of 50 EUR will this time go entirely to Mission to Seafarers. The organization supports seafarers worldwide with social, practical, and spiritual assistance. According to Ed Pearce, Head of Corporate Development, Mission to Seafarers is also planning new activities in Rotterdam. Details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
So, let’s meet on June 17 at 7:10 in front of the World Port Centre, Wilhelminakade 901, 3072 AR Rotterdam!
