Jun 2, 2026 at 9:23 AMST Engineering (Stengg), a defense and technology conglomerate from Singapore that forms the joint venture Elbe Flugzeugwerke with Airbus, has appointed Jeffrey Lam as Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer. This decision took effect on June 1, 2026. Lam, who previously served as Group Chief Operating Officer (Operations Excellence) and President of the Commercial Aerospace division, will relinquish both positions. In his new role, he will continue to report to Vincent Chong, the Group President & Chief Executive Officer, and remain a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Lam’s appointment comes against the backdrop of Stengg’s growth, supported by a strong order book and disciplined execution of its strategy. In his role as Deputy CEO, Lam will drive the company’s strategic priorities, leverage synergies at the group level, and enhance organizational excellence. He will also take management oversight of the Commercial Aerospace business. Chong commented on Lam’s appointment, stating, “This appointment strengthens our leadership at the group level. With his extensive experience in corporate management and proven success, Jeffrey brings the necessary perspectives to advance our strategic priorities and enhance our organizational capabilities.”
Prior to his current appointment, Lam served as President of the Commercial Aerospace business since 2020 and additionally took on the role of Group Chief Operating Officer (Operations Excellence) in mid-2024. Under his leadership, the Commercial Aerospace business experienced strong growth in the areas of Aviation OEM, MRO, and Asset Management.
Lam joined Stengg’s aerospace business in 2011 and has since held various leadership positions within the sector. Before joining Stengg, he held senior positions in engineering, customer service, and general management at government organizations in Singapore as well as at RTX Pratt & Whitney.
Additionally, Kevin Chow, the current head of Aerostructures and Systems in the Commercial Aerospace sector, will succeed Lam as President of the Commercial Aerospace business.
