May 22, 2026 at 8:45 AMThe Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has expanded its intermodal operations in Cameroon by integrating the port of Kribi into its door-to-door logistics solutions, enhancing cargo connectivity between Cameroon and inland markets in the region. especially to the landlocked countries of Chad and the Central Africa Republic.
The solution combines ocean freight, port operations and inland road transport into a coordinated, door-to-door services, linking Kribi to Yaoundé (Cameroon), Moundou and N’Djamena (both Chad) and Bangui (CAR), amongst others.
With up to four weekly vessel calls and direct services connecting Cameroon to Asia, including China, Korea, Vietnam, India and beyond, the integration offers businesses a faster and more cost-efficient way to move cargo.
Seamless inland distribution through Cameroon’s only deep-water port
As trade volumes continue to rise, the use of Kribi strengthens cargo flows in the region and eases pressure on other trade routes. Kribi is Cameroon’s only deep-water port and the largest maritime hub in Central Africa, and thus plays an important role in regional trade.
From the port of Kribi MSC ensures seamless inland distribution through logistics operations managed by its local teams. Documentation and customs clearance, transport and real-time shipment tracking ensure cargo moves efficiently, reliably and with visibility from the port to its final destination.
