May 22, 2026 at 1:54 PMAt the beginning of this month, Edge signed a global agreement for air freight services with Etihad Airways, consolidating its air freight activities under the national airline of the United Arab Emirates.
Under the agreement, Edge, a technology company founded in 2019 to develop solutions for the defense industry and beyond, will procure air freight services through the cargo division of Etihad Airways for shipments on behalf of the company itself as well as its growing portfolio of 35 companies. The agreement is part of Edge’s broader strategy to prioritize local partnerships within its supply chains to ensure that the company continues to invest in and leverage UAE institutions and capabilities as it grows.
Promotion of Local Partnerships in the UAE
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of the Edge Group, stated that „the agreement reflects our commitment to promoting local partnerships that create value for the UAE. By collaborating with Etihad Airways, we optimize our operations while contributing to the growth of an integrated national industrial platform.“
