May 21, 2026 at 9:16 AMThe Qatar Airways Group achieved a net profit of QAR 7.08 billion (USD 1.94 billion) in fiscal 2025/26, despite geopolitical tension and economic uncertainty. The cargo division performed positively. Qatar Airways Cargo transported more than 1.43 million t of air freight, achieving a global market share of 12%.
At the same time, the airline achieved a punctuality rate of 86% and received the Cirium Platinum Award for it. Hamad International Airport in Doha was once again recognised as the best airport in the Middle East. The airline transported approximately 42 million passengers and solidified its position as one of the most resilient airline groups worldwide, according to its assessment.
Among the key projects for the future is the expansion of the fleet. The group has signed contracts with Boeing and GE Aerospace for 210 aircraft and 400 engines. Additionally, Qatar Airways is further expanding its global route network and aims to serve more than 160 destinations by summer 2026.
