May 20, 2026 at 9:03 AMThe Target Corporation has announced that Jeff England will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Global Supply Chain and Logistics Officer on May 31, 2026. England will report to Lisa Roath, the Chief Operating Officer of Target, and will be responsible for accelerating the supply chain plans of the U.S. retail company, which combines supermarket and department store concepts to enhance the shopping experience both online and offline.
With this appointment, Target aims to strengthen its merchandising expertise, improve the customer experience, drive technological advancements, and solidify team and community structures during a new phase of growth. A central component of this plan is the expansion of supply chain capabilities to increase speed, reliability, and precision.
Michael Fiddelke, CEO of Target, commented on England’s hiring: „Customers come to Target for great style, design, and value—and they trust that we are always in stock and ready for them when they shop.“ He emphasized that enhancing the customer experience is one of the top priorities and that England’s extensive expertise in operations, technology, and automation, along with his proven track record in managing operations of varying sizes and complexities, is exactly what is needed to strengthen services for customers.
Prior to joining Target, England was Chief Supply Chain Officer at QXO, where he improved inventory availability, reduced transportation costs, and strengthened operational excellence. Previously, he served as Chief Supply Chain Officer at Genuine Parts Company and spent nearly two decades in various leadership roles in operations, strategy, and finance at Walmart. His experiences range from managing individual locations with frontline teams to overseeing and improving entire supply chains.
England commented on his new role: „It is an honor to join Target and be part of such an iconic brand. I am confident in the company’s growth plan and priorities and look forward to starting with the team to build on the strong foundation and further enhance the speed, reliability, and precision of the supply chain.“
The current Chief Supply Chain and Logistics Officer of Target, Gretchen McCarthy, will transition to a strategic advisory role until August. Fiddelke acknowledged McCarthy’s significant contributions during her long career at Target and highlighted that she has prepared the operations, capabilities, and team to be ready for the next phase.
