WEG transports transformers to Silves
May 15, 2026 at 12:57 PMThe Fiera Milano is currently a center for mobility and logistics, hosting the events „Transpotec Logitec“ and „NME-Next Mobility Exhibition.“ These two trade fairs focus on goods and passenger mobility, bringing together more than 500 exhibitors across six halls. The emphasis is on the challenges and opportunities arising from the transformation of the industry. These changes are significant not only for companies but also for the entire national economy.
International cooperation
The international dimension of the fair is strengthened by cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA. In recent months, it has actively promoted Transpotec Logitec abroad and invited a delegation from various countries, including Albania, Austria, France, and Turkey.
Diversity of exhibitors and technologies
The exhibition offerings reflect the complexity of an increasingly integrated transport system. The focus is on heavy commercial vehicles, represented by the so-called „eight sisters“: DAF Industrial Vehicles, Ford Trucks, Iveco, MAN Truck & Bus, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Renault Trucks, Scania, and Volvo Trucks.

These companies showcase a variety of technologies designed to meet the diverse needs of the industry. This includes diesel generations, natural gas and biofuels, as well as initial applications of hydrogen technology and electric vehicles. The latter are expanding their operational range to longer distances with an average range of 500 km.

Various manufacturers also presented their commercial vehicles in the outdoor area. Among the „eight sisters,“ MAN Truck & Bus showcased several models in the outdoor segment.

Additionally, the company premiered the „MAN eTGM,“ which, according to the manufacturer, has a chassis payload of 10.6 tons and features a battery capacity that allows the vehicle to cover a distance of up to 480 kilometers. Visitors could also admire various certified used commercial vehicles outdoors.

Moreover, various workshops and conferences are taking place at the fair. These provide attendees with the opportunity to exchange views on current industry conditions and collaboratively refine strategies to address them. Central topics included AI and trade in times of geopolitical tensions.
