This agreement represents another step in the airline’s digital transformation, which plays a leading role in cargo traffic in the Caspian and Central Asian regions.
The signing of the agreement was conducted by Wolfgang Meier (l.), President of Silk Way West Airlines, and Matthieu Petot, CEO of the logistics IT company CargoAi, which he founded in Singapore. Both partners aim to advance digital transformation and improve connectivity in the global air freight industry.
Integration of services
As part of the partnership, the Azerbaijani airline will integrate its services with CargoAi’s digital platform. This will enable freight forwarders worldwide to more easily access the airline’s specific capacities. The integration is expected to increase the visibility of rates and, in a later phase, enable digital booking options through the CargoAi platform.
This collaboration will facilitate freight forwarders in exploring available capacities and connecting with Silk Way West Airlines‘ global network. This will occur through a more efficient and transparent digital process. The partnership also supports the airline’s overarching goal of continuously improving the customer experience and making its cargo services more accessible internationally.
Silk Way West Airlines operates a modern fleet of cargo aircraft and connects key markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and America through its strategically located hub in Baku. The cooperation with CargoAi will further strengthen the airline’s digital sales capabilities and expand access to its global cargo solutions.
Wolfgang Meier commented on the partnership:
“The collaboration with CargoAi represents an important step in our digital transformation journey. By expanding our digital booking options, we aim to provide freight forwarders with better visibility and faster access to capacities, as well as a seamless experience when interacting with Silk Way West Airlines.”
Matthieu Petot added:
“We are pleased to welcome Silk Way West Airlines to the CargoAi digital ecosystem. Their extensive global network and specific capacities will provide freight forwarders with broader access to reliable cargo solutions.”
The introduction of digital booking for Silk Way West Airlines‘ services on the CargoAi platform is planned for a later phase.
