Financial metrics and dividend
The operating losses amounted to 84.1 billion yen, which the company primarily attributes to a decline in profits in the car carrier sector. The ordinary loss was 109.1 billion yen, due to a significant drop in profits in the container shipping business. The net loss totaled 132.9 billion yen, which is partly attributed to the sale of its own ships and shares in subsidiaries, as well as an adjustment of income taxes related to deferred tax assets, as the company reports.
