Production of the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric
The production of the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric, the first fully electric van based on a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform, is scheduled to begin as planned at the Sandouville plant near the Normandy port city of Le Havre by the end of 2026. Since 2024, Renault Group has developed a solid technological foundation for the Trafic Van E-Tech Electric. This includes a special skateboard platform that integrates an 800V electric drive system, as well as an SDV architecture.
The teams at Renault Group are working on completing the new generation of fully electric vans and the associated services. These developments aim to address the challenges of urban logistics and the growing demand for decarbonization.
Volvo Group will distribute the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric through Renault Trucks starting in 2027. This is part of the long-standing partnership between Renault Group and Volvo Group in the field of light commercial vehicles.
