Notably, Emirates SkyCargo transported 2.4 million tons of goods worldwide this year, an increase of 3% compared to the previous year.
Growth and capacity
The delivery of five new Boeing 777 freighters enabled the division to increase its cargo capacity by 13%. Emirates SkyCargo generated solid revenue of 16.2 billion AED (4.4 billion USD), accounting for 12% of the total revenue of the Emirates Group. However, cargo revenue per Freight Tonne Kilometre (FTKM) decreased by 3%, due to market pressure and the impact of tariffs on trade, particularly in e-commerce.
Strong market position
The performance of Emirates SkyCargo reflects the division’s ability to win customer preference through a comprehensive range of specialized logistics solutions. This is supported by Emirates‘ global network, Dubai’s premier intermodal logistics capabilities, and ongoing investments in digital technologies, infrastructure, and products.
Network expansion and innovations
In the past year, SkyCargo expanded its cargo network to 44 points, adding new destinations such as Bangkok, Budapest, Liège, and Tokyo-Narita. Additionally, the frequency of existing cargo routes was increased, and the trucking network was expanded.
The division continued its strategy of offering tailored cargo solutions to position itself as a key differentiator and value proposition. This year, „Emirates Courier Express“ was launched—an innovative door-to-door delivery solution for cross-border transport. Furthermore, a new suite of specialized services for the aviation, engineering, defense, and aerospace industries was introduced to transport time-sensitive components.
Fleet strength
At the end of the fiscal year, the total cargo fleet of Emirates SkyCargo consisted of 13 Boeing 777 freighters, with eight additional units awaiting delivery.
