The Italian company Cinquina Trasporti e Servizi srl has expanded its fleet with three new Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin trucks. This investment is part of a long-standing partnership with Daimler Truck that began over 30 years ago. The collaboration between the company from San Salvo in the province of Chieti and the German manufacturer now includes over 110 vehicles, demonstrating the continuity and trust both sides place in the relationship.
Long-standing partnership and technological development
The history of Cinquina Trasporti e Servizi srl dates back to 1959. The company specializes in the transportation of goods and places great emphasis on reliability, safety, and quality. These values are crucial to meet the demands of customers in national and international transport. The partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks began with the purchase of the first Mercedes 1844 and has continuously evolved since then.
The new Actros ProCabin trucks will be deployed in the fleet, which operates on the main European transport routes. This development coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Actros, which has been regarded as a benchmark for modern commercial vehicles since its introduction at the IAA in 1996. The Actros is characterized by extensive electronic integration and innovative technologies aimed at improving safety and efficiency in heavy-duty transport.
Massimo Cinquina, Managing Director of Cinquina Trasporti e Servizi srl, emphasizes the importance of the collaboration with Mercedes-Benz: “The choice of Mercedes-Benz began over 30 years ago with the first Mercedes 1844. Since then, we have built a relationship based on reliability and quality.” He highlights that the manufacturer’s vehicles meet the demands of international transport while ensuring both operational continuity and comfort for drivers.
Growth and efficiency in the transport sector
Cinquina Trasporti e Servizi srl has established itself as a dynamic and versatile company over the past decades. With a fleet of 55 own vehicles and an operational area of 34,500 m², of which 13,500 m² is covered, the company is capable of meeting various transport needs. Approximately 30,000 orders are processed annually, achieving a high delivery and pickup performance of 96.5% and 99%, respectively.
The company operates in 14 European countries and offers tailored logistical solutions. Close collaboration with partners and the ability to quickly adapt to changing customer demands are central elements of the corporate strategy. “In today’s transport sector, it is no longer sufficient to move goods from point A to point B. It requires organization, flow control, and a structure that can respond quickly to customer inquiries,” explains Cinquina.
Sustainability and technological innovation
Cinquina Trasporti e Servizi srl also places great importance on sustainability in transport. All vehicles comply with the latest environmental standards and are equipped with Euro 6 engines. Additionally, the company has relied on intermodal solutions for over 25 years to minimize environmental impacts. This includes the use of rail transport for crossing the Alps, which saves significant CO2 emissions.
