Transport Logistic Shanghai 2026 will inaugurate the new „China Railway Express Joint Pavilion“ together with CRCT. This opening is part of an expansion of the railway transport sector and represents a central element of this year’s fair, as the organizers report. The event aims to attract railway operators and cross-border logistics players from Eurasia and provide a platform for intermodal rail transport as well as the China Railway Express.
Growing importance of railway logistics
In light of changing global supply chains, the demand for resilient and sustainable cross-border transport has increased, according to the organizers. Railway logistics has established itself as a reliable alternative to sea and air freight. The China Railway Express, referred to as a modern „steel camel caravan,“ connects 128 Chinese cities with 232 cities in 26 European countries as well as more than 100 cities in 11 Asian countries. This rail network has proven to be the backbone of Eurasian connectivity.
