Apr 23, 2026 at 9:19 AMGreece has delivered humanitarian aid to Lebanon, reaffirming its support for the country, as reported by the website ‚Greek Reporter‘. The transport was carried out by an air force aircraft, accompanied by personnel from special forces. The operation was organised in coordination with the foreign ministry and the Lebanese embassy in Athens.
The delivery includes medical supplies, food and other urgent aid. The aim is to improve supplies for the population in light of the current crisis. The assistance is set against the backdrop of the tense situation in the region and aims to contribute to stabilisation.
According to reports from Lebanon, the conflict has led to high casualties and extensive displacements since early March. Greece previously handed over military equipment to the Lebanese armed forces to support security infrastructure.
