Feb 26, 2026 at 8:17 AMIAG Cargo has launched a specialized service for the transportation of aircraft parts aimed at supporting the rapid recovery of grounded aircraft (AOG) and ensuring the integrity of flight schedules. The introduction comes against the backdrop of increasing demand for AOG logistics solutions in the aviation industry.
The new AOG service is now available worldwide and leverages IAG Cargo’s extensive network, which includes over 250 destinations. The company’s logistics experts are positioned near key production and maintenance centers in Europe and North America, allowing customers quicker access to needed parts. This is particularly important when it comes to minimizing downtime.
Bookings through the AOG service are handled by specialized teams that are available around the clock. These teams provide fast processing and real-time updates to give customers more clarity and control over the transport of their urgently needed shipments.
David Rose, Chief Commercial Officer of IAG Cargo, stated: „With our AOG product, we are responding to the industry’s need for a fast and specialized solution when unexpected technical issues ground aircraft. Through a dedicated team and a tailored service model, our customers‘ critical parts are transported quickly and focused. We utilize our global network, proven expertise, and strategic presence to deliver urgent shipments swiftly and securely to the required location, with 24/7 monitoring.“
The launch of the AOG service occurs in a market that is increasingly significant for AOG logistics solutions. Recent market research estimates the value of the AOG logistics sector at $3.14 billion in 2025, projecting growth to $4.16 billion by 2032. This growth is driven by the rise in air traffic, aging aircraft fleets, and leaner inventory strategies that increase the demand for rapid response solutions.
