Jan 16, 2026 at 5:43 AMAccelya has announced another step in the development of its FLX ONE Cargo platform by unifying cargo development on the same technological foundation used for passenger distribution platforms. This measure underscores Accelya’s long-term investment in the cargo sector as a central component of the company’s strategy and the capabilities of airlines.
The FLX ONE Cargo platform, which was launched in April 2025, is a cloud-native solution that supports modern, API-driven cargo distribution and operational processes. By integrating cargo on the same FLX ONE architecture already used in passenger distribution, Accelya creates a unified technological basis that works for airlines on a global scale.
Benefits of Unified Technology
This integrated approach allows airlines to benefit from consistent security, scalability, and cloud-native services in both passenger and cargo operations, while fully addressing the specific commercial, operational, and regulatory requirements of cargo. Additionally, Accelya can drive innovations more quickly by leveraging platform services and a shared operational model across the entire FLX ONE portfolio.
As part of this ongoing investment, Accelya has appointed Muthupandi Nageswaran as Vice President of Technology for FLX ONE Cargo. Nageswaran brings over 20 years of experience in leading large-scale platform development and digital transformation in global companies such as WEX, SAP Concur, Oracle, IBM, and HP.
“Cargo is a central driver of airline performance and deserves the same robust, enterprise-grade technological foundation as passenger distribution,” said Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya. “By unifying cargo and passenger technology on FLX ONE and continuing to invest in leadership and platform capabilities, we provide airlines with a modern, long-term foundation to confidently advance their cargo businesses.”
Accelya will continue to support its SkyChain cargo management system for existing customers. FLX ONE Cargo is a separate, cloud-native platform designed for airlines seeking modern cargo capabilities based on the FLX ONE infrastructure. The platform offers flexible customization paths that allow airlines to modernize at their own pace.
The company plans to announce further updates on enhancements to the FLX ONE Cargo platform and customer progress throughout 2026.
