Gebrüder Weiss becomes logistics partner of the Austrian Sports Aid

The Austrian logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss will be the official logistics partner of the Austrian Sports Aid. In addition to various logistics services, Gebrüder Weiss supports the promotion of Austrian youth and disabled sports.

(Wien) Preparations for the LOTTERIEN Sports Aid Gala on October 12 of this year are already in full swing. Currently, the NIKIs for the athletes and the team of the year are being created in the workshop of former judoka Stefan Gahr in Bischofshofen, a now-renowned metal artist. This year, Gebrüder Weiss is responsible for transporting the coveted awards from Salzburg to the federal capital. “One of our most important pillars is organizing charity events – foremost the LOTTERIEN Sports Aid Gala. This involves a significant logistical effort for our organization. We are very pleased to welcome absolute logistics professionals from Gebrüder Weiss into our Sports Aid family,” explains Sports Aid President Susanne Riess-Hahn. “Gebrüder Weiss has also been a great supporter of Austrian sports for decades. We are now looking forward to the joint path with Sports Aid,” says Jürgen Bauer, a member of the management board at Gebrüder Weiss.

Shipping of football jerseys and sports rarities

As part of the new partnership, the recently auctioned match-worn jerseys from the Bundesliga clash between SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz and FC Red Bull Salzburg were also shipped. However, it is not only football jerseys that are being sent by Gebrüder Weiss. Sports rarities, such as the rear wing from Lewis Hamilton’s championship-winning Mercedes, are also delivered under the orange flag to the new owners who had bid on the collector’s item for the benefit of Sports Aid.
