UPS Acquires Bomi Group
Aug 8, 2022 at 4:20 PMThe leading semi-trailer manufacturer Kässbohrer and the CM Logistics Group have established their new partnership with 40 centrally extending multifunctional container chassis K.SHG AMH. With their rapid growth since their founding in 2011, the CM Logistics Group relied on the reliability, high quality, and robustness of Kässbohrer for their new investment.
(Duisburg) Alexander Heine, Managing Director and owner of the CM Logistics Group, and Vincent Koel, Regional Manager North Germany at Kässbohrer, attended the handover ceremony and explained their newly formed partnership. “As a service provider for many transport and logistics companies, the quality of our fleet and the operational flexibility it offers are of utmost importance. For our fleet, we place great value on user comfort, safety, and a long lifespan of the vehicles.
We had already heard positive things about the Kässbohrer container chassis. After a demonstration of the extendable variant at Kässbohrer in Goch, we knew it was the right chassis for us. We were particularly impressed by the stable support of the central frame and the ease of operation of the extension.
The extendable container chassis with gooseneck from Kässbohrer offer our customers maximum flexibility in operation. With our new K.SHG AVMH vehicles, our customers can safely transport 1×20-foot rear bundles and 2×20-foot positioning, 30-foot containers, and of course 40-foot ISO and HC containers, as well as present various loading combinations for container types in their/our versatile applications.
Our customers can easily operate and adjust our container chassis vehicles with Kässbohrer’s patented octagonal middle and rear extensions. The double pneumatic locking systems on the middle extension ensure safety throughout the entire operation,” said Alexander Heine.
Vincent Koel also shared his thoughts: “As Kässbohrer, we offer an unrivaled intermodal product range with award-winning container chassis and swap body vehicles, manufactured through careful design and validation processes and expert craftsmanship.
We are proud to offer 17 types of container chassis, from tank containers to flat chassis to non-extendable gooseneck chassis and extendable gooseneck chassis suitable for transporting 20-foot, 30-foot, 40-foot, and 45-foot containers. We are particularly proud of the multifunctional container chassis K.SHG AVMH, which won the Trailer Innovation 2019 Award in the ‘Chassis’ category, featuring a novel octagonal central frame design.
The extendable container chassis K.SHG AMH selected by the CM Logistics Group offers the best traction and load distribution characteristics with its chassis design, even when accommodating 20-foot containers in the rear area. The KTL-coated chassis of the K.SHG AMH is partially metallized at the contact points of the container and chassis to extend the vehicle’s lifespan.
SHG AMH is designed so that the 5 x 2 container locking positions can be easily changed to achieve the best fit and load distribution. The middle and rear extensions from Kässbohrer and the carefully designed locking mechanisms ensure extremely user-friendly operation for every driver.
Safety-enhancing options such as the BPW Airsave System have been integrated into our customers’ new vehicles. The BPW Airsave System prevents tire blowouts by equalizing air pressure with very low maintenance effort.
We will continue to work on meeting the needs of the CM Logistics Group and are confident that our partnership, which began with the investment of 40 K.SHG AMH vehicles, will last for many years to come.”
