Mar 30, 2021 at 5:45 PMSwissterminal AG, the leading operator of private container terminals and depots in Switzerland, is now offering its customers a new service for the disinfection of containers. This initiative is in response to the increased demand for hygiene and protective measures related to the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. Additionally, the new service includes treatment against contaminants such as mold and odor neutralization.
(Frenkendorf/Switzerland) Through the disinfection of containers, customers of Swissterminal AG receive hygienic and health-safe containers, particularly concerning the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 as well as other viruses, bacteria, yeasts, and fungi. The so-called cold fogging, the latest and most modern method of surface disinfection, is employed for this purpose.
A thorough and professional decontamination of the containers minimizes the risk of potential transmission of the coronavirus through contact infections via contaminated surfaces. After disinfection, traces of silver remain on the surface, which additionally inhibits germ proliferation. No flammable or foul-smelling vapors are released. The disinfectant used is listed on the product reference list of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (BAG).
Increased Safety
To complement the service for container treatment, containers can also be treated upon request against additional pathogens such as mold or for odor neutralization.
Roman Mayer, CEO of Swissterminal, states: “Enhanced hygiene and protective measures are of utmost priority right now. With our new disinfection process, we offer our customers a safe and quick way to treat containers and the cargo transported within them against the spread of the coronavirus under the currently prevailing pandemic situation.”
The newly introduced products for disinfection, cleaning, and odor neutralization of containers increase the safety of all parties involved and contribute to a smooth supply chain process. “With this measure, we can easily and adequately support our customers with tailored value-added services for containers,” explains Mayer.
