20.05.2026 um 12:22 UhrThe 5th edition of a tripartite Chad/Cameroon/Central African Republic forum took place in N’Djamena in mid-May 2026, as Central African regional media outlets have reported. The Chadian transport and civil aviation minister, Ms Fatima Goukouni Weddeye, said that the meeting, which welcomed key transport, transit and logistics players in the trans-Cameroonian supply chains, was designed to consolidate tripartite cooperation and further smoothen the flow of goods between the three countries
She underlined the strategic role of the corridors linking the Cameroonian ports of Douala and Kribi to their hinterlands in Chad and the Central African Republic. These central axes of foreign trade and regional supply chains require further reform, especially to modernise transit procedures, reinforce security and to improve the region’s logistics players’ ability to compete, she said. To this end she promoted improved coordination between the various players in the supply chain.
In the meeting the representatives from Chad, Cameroon and the Central African Republic reaffirmed their commitment to promoting more integrated regional transport operations capable of supporting trade and economic development in the three countries.
