Jul 10, 2026 at 1:39 PMDaher Aircraft opened a new service center for aviation in Jonzac, western France, on July 3, 2026. This location specializes in providing spare parts, maintenance, equipment overhaul, and logistics. With this opening, the company expands its support capabilities for a variety of aircraft, including helicopters, training planes, and Daher-branded aircraft.
New location with expanded capacities
The new service center is located in a purpose-built facility covering 6,000 m² at Jonzac-Neulles Airport (LFCJ) in Charente-Maritime. It replaces Daher Aircraft’s previous facility in Merpins, located about 25 km to the north. The site offers additional capacity to support the company’s growth and develop new activities while maintaining existing support and service contracts.
Direct access to the 1,370 m long runway at Jonzac-Neulles Airport also opens up new opportunities for aircraft maintenance and technical support. The construction of the new center was initiated by the community of communes Haute-Saintonge.
Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher Aircraft, stated: “This opening marks an important step in our commitment to strengthening our global support network and the full range of services we offer.” He also emphasized the quality of the partnership with the community of communes Haute-Saintonge and acknowledged the commitment of all parties involved in realizing the project.
Comprehensive service offerings for various aircraft types
The new center offers a wide range of repair, overhaul, and logistics services, provided both under direct contracts and as a service provider for various aircraft. This includes, among others, Airbus helicopters operated by the national gendarmerie, as well as Cirrus and Grob aircraft used for pilot training.
The site also continuously supports approximately 3,000 general aviation aircraft and training aircraft of the TB and Rallye types, produced by SOCATA, the predecessor of Daher Aircraft. The services offered include the procurement of spare parts, repairs, and the manufacture of spare parts under the approval as a design organization according to Part 21J.
The center is equipped with specialized workshops for the repair of composite structures, painting, welding, landing gear hydraulics, battery maintenance, and non-destructive material testing at qualification level 2. Currently, the site employs 32 staff members who were transferred from the former facility in Merpins to ensure continuity of expertise, service, and customer support. The number of employees is expected to rise to about 40 by the end of the year.
