ENON Group purchases “Euro9000” locomotive

The ENON Group has expanded its fleet with a „Euro9000 locomotive“ from European Loc Pool AG. With this investment, the company is focusing on a dual-mode locomotive. The „Euro9000“ is intended to make the transport services of the ENON Group more flexible and efficient, as stated by the company.

Mathias Tenisson, managing partner of the ENON Group, comments on the reasons for the acquisition in a statement. He emphasizes that the technical performance, modern equipment, and versatile applications of the „Euro9000“ were crucial in choosing this locomotive: “The Euro9000 is currently one of the most powerful and modern dual-mode locomotives in Europe. It is equipped with several country packages, features a 9 MW powerful electric mode, and offers a solution with its two 950 kW diesel engines that fits very well into our performance portfolio,” Tenisson explained.

According to the ENON Group, the „Euro9000“ enables flexible operations on various European routes. The locomotive is now being tested in operational service, focusing on performance, flexible usability, and reliability on the routes of the ENON Group.
