This investment aims to enhance the efficiency of the company’s fleet and strengthen the long-standing partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks Spain. The new tractor units, supplied by the distributor Eje Occidental, meet the highest hazardous goods equipment standards.
José Luis Ruiz, CEO of Baltransa, emphasizes the importance of the new vehicles: “Our new ProCabin vehicles are equipped with maximum comfort and state-of-the-art safety technology, allowing our drivers to perform their demanding work under the best conditions.” The official handover of the trucks took place at the company’s headquarters in Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha.
Long-standing Experience in Chemical Transport
Baltransa has over 70 years of experience in the transport of chemical products by tank truck. The company operates locations in Ciudad Real, Abrera (Barcelona), and Pinto (Madrid) and is active internationally in countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom.
Baltransa’s corporate strategy places a strong emphasis on customer orientation, quality, safety, health protection, and environmental responsibility. All vehicles are equipped with telematics and fleet management systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency. The new Actros L ProCabin supports this strategy by utilizing digital services from Mercedes-Benz Trucks, enabling connected vehicle monitoring as well as the analysis of consumption and driving data.
Technological Advances and Safety Features
The new trucks feature optimized aerodynamics and highly efficient drive technology, allowing for fuel savings of up to 3%. Standard equipment includes the latest safety assistance systems from Mercedes-Benz Trucks, including Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, Active Sideguard Assist 3, Active Drive Assist 3, Front Guard Assist, Attention Assist 2, and the predictive cruise control and shifting system Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC). These technologies contribute to further improving safety and efficiency in transportation.
