Jun 29, 2026 at 9:21 AMDe Havilland Canada has delivered a new aircraft to Zimex Aviation. The model is the Twin Otter Classic 300-G, which now strengthens the fleet of the Swiss company. This delivery solidifies the long-standing collaboration between De Havilland Canada and Zimex Aviation.
The aircraft with serial number 998 will be used in various areas, including cargo transport as well as humanitarian missions and logistical operations in remote regions. The delivery represents a significant step for De Havilland Canada, as it is the first production model of the Twin Otter Classic 300-G to be put into service. Zimex Aviation is also the first operator of the Twin Otter Classic 300-G to hold a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval.
Zimex Aviation has over 50 years of experience operating Twin Otter aircraft and values their versatility and reliability, especially in challenging operational environments. Daniele Cereghetti, Managing Director of Zimex Aviation, commented on the new delivery:

The Twin Otter Classic 300-G is equipped with an integrated Garmin G1000 flight deck and features a redesigned cabin interior as well as improved operational efficiency. At the same time, it retains the proven STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) performance and versatility that have made the aircraft a trusted choice for operators worldwide.
