LOGENIOS integrates ZeKju for freight forwarders
Jun 29, 2026 at 8:08 AMIdwal, a company specializing in ship inspections and condition assessment, has entered into a strategic partnership with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL). This collaboration aims to provide inspection support across various areas of the company, including buying and selling activities as well as owner inspections, as stated by IDWAL.
Under this agreement, MOL will leverage Idwal’s global surveying network. This will enable the company to conduct owner inspections according to its own checklists and standards. This measure is intended to maintain consistency in MOL’s internal inspection program while simultaneously utilizing the benefits of Idwal’s worldwide reach and quality assurance processes.
Comprehensive Support for Ship Acquisitions
In addition to support for owner inspections, the partnership also includes assistance with ship acquisitions and condition monitoring. This is facilitated through the Idwal „ID Platform,“ which provides an overview of the condition of the vessels as well as inspection results within the MOL group.
Thom Herbert, Regional Director Asia at Idwal, comments on the partnership and emphasizes the long-standing relationship between Idwal and MOL. He highlighted that the breadth of the partnership is particularly significant, as Idwal supports MOL in various functions and operational areas, from ship takeovers to owner inspections and ongoing fleet oversight.
