Jun 22, 2026 at 2:14 PMEcube, a company specializing in aircraft storage, dismantling, and transition services, which was acquired by the Airbus company Satair together with its parent company Unical Aviation just over six months ago, has announced a transition phase in its leadership team. Lee McConnellogue (photo), CEO, and Simon Nolan, COO, will step down from their positions. Pete Allwood, currently Senior Vice President EMEA at Unical Aviation, will take on the role of interim CEO to guide the company through the next phase of integration. The entire ecube team thanked Lee and Simon for their leadership and the significant contributions they made to the company’s success.
„This transition phase supports the integration of ecube into the ecosystem of Satair, Unical, and VAS,“ stated a press release. The goal is to industrialize the lifecycle of USM and provide customers with a seamless „one-stop-shop“ experience—from aircraft dismantling and storage to repair management and global parts distribution. The harmonization of leadership and operations aims to ensure that a truly connected experience is created worldwide.
Pete Allwood brings nearly 20 years of extensive experience in aviation to this interim role, with a deep specialization in aircraft dismantling, component sourcing, and USM management. „Our goal is to deliver a streamlined, high-performance material flow for our customers,“ he said. „I look forward to working with the talented teams across all our companies to ensure that we are moving in the same direction and leveraging our collective strengths to provide unparalleled value in the aircraft lifecycle market.“
