The French logistics real estate developer ARGAN and DANONE have announced the commissioning of a new AutOnom® warehouse in Sorigny (Indre-et-Loire, France). This project aims to enhance the logistical efficiency and environmental sustainability of the DANONE Group in Western France. The site is now fully operational, following the signing of the contract and the laying of the foundation last year.
Modern Warehouse with Eco-Friendly Technology
The new warehouse covers an area of 8,200 m², of which 6,400 m² is designated for positive cooling (2–6 °C). It utilizes the latest AutOnom® innovations, which enable the production of green energy for self-consumption. A photovoltaic system on the roof, covering nearly 3,000 m² with a total capacity of 580 kWp, has been installed. This system is complemented by energy storage batteries with a capacity of 230 kWh. These measures aim to reduce the site’s CO₂ emissions by 35%.
The warehouse has been designed according to the highest environmental standards and reflects the shared commitment of ARGAN and DANONE to sustainable logistics. Both companies have signed a long-term lease agreement for nine years, ensuring the permanent use of this new facility. The site is located just a few kilometers from DANONE’s previous location in Chambray-lès-Tours.
Strategic Location in the Isoparc Business Park
The warehouse is situated in the Isoparc Business Park in Sorigny, which offers a strategic location with direct access to the A10 motorway. Additionally, it is close to the A85 and only 15 km south of Tours. The business park is a dynamic economic area that already includes over 100,000 m² of developed logistics space, approximately 1,400 employees, and around 30 resident companies.
