Laurent Schatz leads purchasing & supply chain

Laurent Schatz has expanded his responsibilities at Laboratoires Expanscience and is now taking over the leadership of the Purchasing and Supply Chain departments. The manager, who joined the company in 2023 after 20 years at Danone, initially in logistics positions in France and the United Kingdom, later in purchasing up to the role of Director of Dairy France, has significantly contributed to strengthening the operational and strategic aspects of purchasing. His main focus has been on improving traceability and sustainability in procurement processes.

Schatz has particularly advocated for Expanscience’s commitment within the TRASCE (Traceability Alliance for Sustainable Cosmetics) consortium. This initiative aims to enhance traceability in the cosmetics industry. Additionally, he was actively involved in the Agri & Agro initiative of the CEC (Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat), which promotes climate-friendly practices in the economy.

Integration of purchasing and supply chain

The merger of the Purchasing and Supply Chain departments under a common leadership is intended to promote an integrated approach. This is seen as a step towards greater resilience and agility within the corporate structure.
