Jun 22, 2026 at 1:09 PMWorldwide Flight Services (WFS), a company of the SATS group, has signed a five-year contract with GEODIS at Brussels Airport. This step represents the latest decision by a global provider of logistics and supply chain solutions to utilize WFS’s services in the areas of e-commerce and cargo handling.
WFS offers its e-commerce and cargo handling services at several European airports, including Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Liège, Madrid, and Stockholm, as well as at twelve airports in France, the company’s home market, including Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The services offered include preparing cargo for transport, capturing weight and dimensions of the cargo, and providing packaging, repackaging, and security screening services. Additionally, the offering includes consolidation, labeling of shipments, and transportation between carriers and handling agents. Import deconsolidation, sorting, preparation of shipments for customs clearance, and subsequent road transport are also part of the portfolio.
With this new contract, the existing partnership between WFS and GEODIS is being expanded. GEODIS has already been using WFS’s cargo handling services for import and export goods at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport since 2021.
Under the new contract, GEODIS has transferred all requirements for the consolidation and deconsolidation of cargo to WFS at Brussels Airport. This enables 24/7 operational readiness for GEODIS’s customers and offers greater flexibility regarding costs and staffing. Another important aspect of the partnership is WFS’s GDP-certified facility for pharmaceutical shipments, which features two cold rooms with a total of 300 m² of temperature-controlled handling capacity. This supports GEODIS’s strong position in the Belgian pharmaceutical logistics market.
Philippe Torry, Managing Director of WFS Belgium, commented on the partnership:
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to expand our collaboration with GEODIS at another important European cargo airport in the WFS network. In addition to our proven handling expertise and modern facilities, WFS will provide GEODIS with real-time transparency and information exchange, including all operational documents, timestamps, and images, to demonstrate that our high service standards are consistently met.”
Jean-Baptiste Elslander, Deputy Managing Director of GEODIS in Belgium, emphasized the collaboration during the implementation phase:
“Both teams have taken a hands-on approach to ensure a seamless and efficient transition. WFS provides flexible solutions and outstanding quality that meet the demands of a highly fluctuating and competitive market. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and continuing to be successful together.”
