Jun 22, 2026 at 7:26 AMThe software companies DAKOSY from Hamburg and iCustoms from London have announced a partnership in the field of customs digitization. The aim of this collaboration is to optimize customs processing for internationally operating logistics companies between Great Britain, Germany, and Switzerland. According to a statement from DAKOSY, both companies are among the leading providers of customs software in their respective countries and are responding to the increased demands in trade following Brexit.
Increased demands after Brexit
Since the exit of Great Britain from the European Union, the effort required for customs processing between Great Britain and Germany has increased. In particular, documentation requirements pose new challenges for companies, according to DAKOSY. A complete customs declaration is required for each shipment, encompassing both import and export processes. Additionally, security declarations must be submitted electronically in advance.
The cooperation between DAKOSY and iCustoms aims to meet these increased demands: By developing intelligent interfaces between the two platforms, customers will be enabled to utilize a digital customs process. This means that export declarations from Germany or Switzerland can be automatically converted into import declarations for Great Britain. Conversely, customs export data from Great Britain can also be automatically used for import declarations in Germany or Switzerland.
