Menzies Aviation acquires SPdH in Portugal
Jun 15, 2026 at 6:57 PMK2 Aviation, an aircraft leasing company founded in 2024 and based in Dublin, has completed the acquisition of two Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighters (BCF) from Aircastle. These aircraft are currently leased to ASL Airlines. Karl Ryan, Managing Partner of K2 Aviation, commented on the purchase and emphasized the significance of this transaction for the company.
Portfolio expansion
Ryan stated that K2 Aviation is pleased with the purchase of its first two aircraft from Aircastle and aims to establish a long-term partnership with the Aircastle team. With this acquisition, K2 Aviation expands its portfolio into the cargo aircraft sector. Additionally, the company welcomes ASL Airlines Belgium and ASL Airlines France as new customers.
The acquisition of the two Boeing 737-800 BCF represents a strategic move for K2 Aviation to enhance its presence in the cargo flight segment.
